    breeding rats question
    i have 3 ball pythons. a 400 gram male a 1200 gram female and about a 90 gram female. if i had 1.1 could they eat them all before the next are born?.

    Depends how much you feed your snakes and how big the litters are.

    1.1 won't be consistent enough, 1.3 would provide a better supply.

    Always better to have more rats than not enough. I would run 1.3 at least. There is nothing like being able to have any size rodent available anytime you need it. The extras can always be sold as pets or food if you take the time to raise them. Food for thought.

    will most pet stores take them? like petco, petsmart, souther agriculter? i dont want to have a over flow of rat lol.

    Speaking from someone who owns a pet store.....
    No.
    I don't chance bringing in rodents from an unknown, outside source....
    That's me, don't know about other pet stores..

    In my experience the big box stores will not take in any animal to sell but they would take them for adoption. IOW, they'll take your rats if they're free. They don't pay for them.
