    Need 16x11x6 Tubs
So, I am sure MANY people on here have this problem, but I'll lay it out anyway. Rubbermaid discontinued the 2220 series of tubs that fit the "older" animal plastics racks. I looked around and the only place that had them advertised with the correct measurements (and I called and double checked) was Reliable Paper. Well, they came today, and they are indeed the wrong size (Called them up and I am getting a full refund etc, etc). Does anybody know of somewhere where I can get tubs this size (don't have to be Rubbermaid), or does anyone personally have some they would sell.

Thanks in advance for the help!

That's the closest thing I could find as well.

Thanks for the help guys. The only thing I fear with that is that the half inch shorter is asking for trouble. It can afford to be a little longer or shorter length, or a little wider, but the height makes me twitch a little bit lol. I could make something work, but for my ocd's sanity, I'll keep looking lol.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Could you put in a "false ceiling" in the rack to compensate for the shorter tubs?

Possibly some PVC on a wooden frame?

    Dr Del,
If I can not find a correct height tub, I am planning on just using those racks with full sweater boxes, as I have a full setup on those, and buying a new rack of these new size shoe boxes. If I decide not to spend the money, I will just do as you suggested with the false roof. I just hate to have things not the way they should be so I'll likely go with the first option should my search continue to be unfruitful.
    Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you tried the Sterilite Clear View Latch 15 quart boxes 1753? 16 5/8 x 10 7/8 x 6 1/4 they sell them at Target here. These fit my older AP economy rack. They are a little tight, but better than nothing.

Another option is to go to your nearest home improvement store and get some plain 1/2" thick trim boards. Usually you can find them between 1"-4" wide. Have the store cut them into the lengths that you need and then place them on the shelves, under the tubs as runners. You can even paint them to match the rack so that they blend in.

Thanks for all the ideas guys! I think i decided to go with using the sweater boxes in the two racks I have and just buying one of the newer big AP shoe box racks.

    Thanks again!
