    Stupid Mistake - Lesson Learned....
I could just kick myself. The nights here in MI have been pretty cool so I have been putting my oiled filled spaceheater on each night to keep my room at a comfortable 80 degrees for my snakes.

Well, last night I turned on the space heater but forgot to set the programmed temp of 75/80 and when I got up this morning I found the snake room was at 97 degrees. I panic'd and opened all the windows and started the ceiling fan to cool the room down. I opened all the tubs and checked on all my babies - they seemed fine but I am worried that I harmed them in some way.

I checked the temps in the tubs and basically they didn't have a cool side - both sides were like 93 degrees in their tubs - hopefully one night like that didn't do any major damage to them - like I mentioned, they looked and acted fine.

I sure learned my lesson - always be sure to set the temp on the heater.

Does anyone know if I need to worry about my snakes or should they be fine.

    Thank you.

they'll be fine. only some seriously high temp spikes would be able to cause damage, one night at 93 is nothing. they were just nice and toasty thats all. lesson learned, ill make sure i double check before going to sleep.

Oh thank god!!!! I was sooo freaked out when I opened that door and it felt like a sauna. Everyone looked no worse for wear though.

I just wanted to ask you guys to be sure.
