    What fun..
Cat caught a Rough Earthsnake tonight. Snake has puncture marks all over it and I doubt it'll live. Probably has broken ribs and punctured organs. Snake is currently in a container that I made up in hopes that it'll recover.

He has a waterbowl and a hide that I made from a small box that held my contact lenses. He's in a 9"x6"x6" critter keeper right now. If he survives, I plan on releasing him once he recovers..Although, this may be awhile considering how slow snakes and reptiles in general heal. He's slowly exploring the keeper. Honestly, if I can get him to eat, I may just keep him as a pet.

So far, he's doing alright. He spent some time last night checking out the critter keeper. He'll also come to the front to see what I'm doing. Here's a picture of him:

Oh wow, he's cute! Good luck with the recovery! I sure hope it works in his favor, I think he'd make a cute little pet :)

I offered some rollie pollies and a grasshopper. He seemed interested in the grasshopper but decided not to. Probably still stressed.

I found some earthworms and he had an interest in one. Went to far as to try and bite it, but once it squirmed, he let go. I put in a smaller one and covered the feeding container to see what happens.

Aww, good for you giving the little guy a home! It's a cutie, alright.

He went and shed during the night. He looks considerably better, although he still has missing scales. He still hasn't ate, though. If he keeps it up, I'll let him go in the woods.
