    Male vs Female BPs
So, I found out my BP is a male.. I named him Nala before I knew, because I was banking on a female for some reason.. 50/50 guess.. and I was wrong! Anyway, I have been trying to look up info on the differences between the two.. Are there advantages and disadvantages between the sexes?

Honestly I would say not unless your breeding. There are pros and cons to both sexes when breeding. Just to name a few males mature faster than females and can breed (for me anyway) usually a season before the female is ready.

Males can also breed multiple females where females an only essentially breed one male. Now i know you can have a split clutch with two males but I'm not gonna get into that :)

For me it really depends on the morph and what project im working on. for instance I have a Het Burgundy female. She bred this year so if I get a male offspring I can keep him and he should be ready by next season to breed back. Where with a female hatchling I would have to possibly wait two seasons to breed her depending on weight obviously.

Now these are just a couple of my opinions.. its really all trial and error and deciding what you want to do with them. Hope this helps a bit.

If it is just a pet there isn't a difference. A female will normally get a bit bigger but that's it.

Id say length is about the same 4-5ft. Weight on average males 2000g females 2500-3000g. Just going off my snakes.

Really just size. Males typically average out at 3-4ft, females 4-5. But there are always outliers on both sides.
