Research it's needs. If it's sick, I wouldn't bring it home. You'll probably be able to tell if it is not healthy.

While you may be able to get a great snake off of craigslist I would really have to agree with LGray on this. Is it really worth bringing a snake home that could pass along an illness to your other snakes?

Please get as much info and history on it as you can before deciding to bring it home.
Funny, I thought I'd committed a fatal error with the keyboard - then I realized the correspondence from the current owner is spelled just as I entered it. Unfortunately, I don't know the owner, he was recommended to me from others. He has put some time, effort and money into his current boa - I am concerned and thought about the quarantine issues. I'm lucky that I can separate any snakes by several floors in my home, just not sure how long the quarantine should last.
I hate the thought of an animal going to someone with no experience and bouncing around from owner to owner or worse. We'll see what happens once I can lay eyes on the snake.
