Oh wow it looks like you have roan and chinchilla genes!

Roan are the darker black and silve speckled ones, and chinchilla is like the ones in the last photo, how lovely! :D

I wouldn't mind getting a hold of a chinchilla mouse, trade or purchase, any chance you live anywhere near me? :)

Edit: It also looks like you have agouti merle in there as well. :D

Those adult mice you have are beautiful! I love all of the different kinds in that last photo.

Rhasputin: What would you call the orange/brown and grey flecked mice in the top left hand corner of the last photo? Also that silver and grey flecked mouse in the bottom left hand corner looks amazing.

The orange ones are brindles, the brown one next to them is agouti, and the dark speckly one is either very under marked merle, or roan.

Thank you! Do these coats only apply to mice, or do brindle, agouti, merle, and roan exist among rats as well?

Most apply to rats too, but they just look completely different. :P
Merle rats look more like a white rat with small black spots, rather than merle mice with are grey ticked mice, with black square-ish spots.

Also, a friend of mine just mentioned that the gray ones might be C-diluted brindles, and not chinchillas. ;)
