Very proud of my first attempt at making a tub!
I got a RTB this Thursday, and I didn't have the money to drop on a tank, so I went to Home Depot and got a tub for the time being. I was a little hesitant but I remembered a thread about making them on here, so I was pretty confident I would get it right. I didn't have any UTH's or such, so I had to find a way to incorporate the extra heat lamp I had. I cut a square from the lid and bound chicken wire to it, which amazingly doesn't heat up at all. The temps are perfect and steady, and the humidity is spot on.

I accidentally put holes in the lid before remembering I was gonna cut a hole out of it, so I put tape over them (the lid is thick so she can't touch the tape at all) and the cement block pieces are there so she has NO HOPE of pushing the top open. :)

I use luggage straps also... They hold great and look alot better than chunks of cinder blocks....

I didn't think of that. They were for more of a deterrent than a final solution, and for now she seems to be quite content in the tub. I'll look into those luggage straps though, she might just be luring me into a false sense of security while she plans her escape. :omfg:
