IBD (Inclusion Body Disease) WHATS IT WORTH TO YOU?
i bet if humans can catch the ibd virus there would be a study and plenty of money to research it.its just a animal, buy another one some say.yeah sure if it was that easy.time, love, and ups and downs you had and shared with that pet cant be bought. whats funny is that if everyone that is a snakereptile owner came together around the world and put $1-5 or $30 to the research a month there would be plenty of money..thats a doller a day.i think thats worth it. do you? LETS HERE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY.

The scary thing is that some of the most diabolical diseases have come from animal - human virus mutation

    Take for example, Ebola

It was first seen destroying great ape populations. Well, after time the wild meat trade got "dilluted" with the ebola virus. Many ape "african bush meat" was infected with Ebola

when people ate that meat, over time the virus learned it could expand and started to become infectious to humans

Now, Ebola boasts a 90 - 100% fatality rate and the ability to come out of nowhere and decimate villages, then disappear without a trace.

(NOTE: Ebola is a disease I would never want to encounter, the pathogen eats your veins and arteries from the inside, it feeds on the muscle tissue of your organs and it causes bleeding out of your eyes, ears, nose, throat.. ect so when I said "diabolical" I meant it)

Who's to say this cant happen with snakes and us?

Millions of snakes are owned as pets (and many get IBD). under the right conditions the virus could "leap" and infect us.

Thats not a opinion, thats fact :)

Scary stuff if you think about it

    Dr. Jacobson takes donations.

    They can be sent to:

    Dr. Elliott Jacobson
    2015 SW16th Ave
    SACS
    College of Veterinary Medicine
    University of Florida
    Gainesville, Fl 32610

(add for IBD Research to the memo line) should be made out to "The University of Florida Research Foundation".

As for what it's worth to me...........if I told you how much I spent diagnosing treating and testing my animals, you'd crap your pants.
