A/C served husbandry divorce papers

Ever since I turned on the A/C in my place the humidity shot down to 30% in the enclosure. I've boosted it with misting the tank but i'm looking for a more permanent (stable) solution besides heated lamps as the temperatures are still correct in the enclosure. I've heard suggestions of moss but thought I would ask for opinions on here before I tried anything.

if its a tank, cover the screen lid 90% with foil. And use bigger water bowl.

^^^yup, if you can restrict air flow a bit it will help with humidity. If you already have limited air flow try a bigger water bowl. if you have room over the heat source you can try putin the bowl there and it may raise it a bit. sometimes ill put warm water in the bowl and that raises the humidity but it also raises the ambient temps too depending on the temp of the water you put in the bowl

Don't worry about upping the humidity in the enclosure. Restricting airflow and bumping up humidity is a great way to encourage bacterial growth. Mix in a bit of snake poo or urates and the possibilities are endless.

Instead focus and providing a humid hide in which the snake can retreat to. This can be accomplished by a placing sphagnum moss in the hide, or piled on top and around it.

Is it okay if my humidity is at about slightly below 40% every night but goes back up to above 55% in the day?

When i had my snakes in a tank my humidity would drop quite significantly but then would shoot up during the day especially if i misted and depending on the type of substrate used. A humid hide will help without raising the humidity throughout the tank. If you decide to just mist, remember to use distilled water. I keep all my snakes in a rack now and dont have a problem with humidity as they all shed well each time.

I have AC, but my keeping them in a rack seems to keep mine humid enough.

No shed problems whatsoever.

We'll see how he does, he's starting to show shedding signs. I put in the moss and the humidity levels reached a normal range. I'll keep an eye on it and him to make sure it works out ok. He's about to shed for the first time since i've had him fingers crossed.
