Are milk snakes usually inactive
I just got a new Pueblan milk snake 2 weeks ago, he is eating perfectly fine and everything, but when I put him back in his cage he just hides, he could go for a day without even moving. He rarely moves, unless I have to pick him up and feed him. I know their nocturnal, but when I go to sleep and wake up in the morning, he is still in the same place. Is this normal? Or is he just getting more comfortable with his new home?
Re: Are milk snakes usually inactive
I only have one to compare to...and have only had her for a few weeks...so take this for what it's worth. :P
Mine will vanish and hide for several days at a time. Then suddenly, I'll see her out and about frequently for a few days...then she disappears again. Might have something to do with getting fed and not needing to hunt again for awhile. When they're not hunting, most snakes aren't out looking for a hobby or anything. :D
