First feeding! Size?

So he shed yesterday!! Now its time to feed him for the first time.

He is 22" long and about 142 grams. I'm trying to figure out what size feeder to give him lol looking at his head makes me think an adult mouse is too big but I could be
Wrong lol

What do you guys think?

Rat pup or adult mouse :) He should easily be able to take either one. My girl was 105 grams when I got her and she took hoppers and adult mice.

I have two BP's that are almost half that size and they each ate a hopper mouse and a BCI thats about 200 grams that ate a large mouse both with no problem and left a slight lump in each but all could have had slightly larger.

I would think the largest mouse (lrg-xl) you can find or a weaned Rat would work maybe try a rat pup first, thats what Im going with next for the BCI and an adult sm mouse for the BP's or a rat pup.

I'd go with a rat pup but an adult mouse would be just fine at that size. They can eat meals a lot bigger than you would think. Even my smaller hatchlings get a small adult mouse or a rat fuzzy for their first meal.

Yeah I was thinking rat pup but I was having trouble finding a place that had them... F/t mice are easier to come by haha thanks!

Rat pup or adult mouse, it's not about the head size of your snake but his girth size (widest part of his body) ;)
