    How to care for dropped tail?
    None of my geckos have dropped their tails, but in the possible event that it does happen I would like to know;

    Is there anything I have to do to help heal it?

    I'm guessing no, because in nature they drop them and obviously nobody is there to help. But just incase it gets infected or something, is there anything I can do for it at home, or would I have to take it to the vet depending on the severity?

    Keep them on paper towels and just keep an eye on them to make sure nothing gets in the wound as it heals. No need for any intervention 99% of the time. They drop their tails in the wild ALL the time, adults are never found with tails. The gecko will figure it out :)

    This whole section of the forum is for like 4 or 5 geckos. What species was it?

    Anyway, just make sure it doesn't get infected. Dab a little neosporin without pain medication of it to help the healing process.

    you can see from the original posters signature that they keep crested geckos :D

    I agree with Sam paper towels and cleanliness should be all you need in the case of a dropped tail for the majority of the time
