    If I'm a robot, you're a jerk.
So here I am, minding my own business, when my desk phone rings. One of my sales agents is on the line and asks if I can take a call and speak to a customer concerning a shipping request for his order.

I'm like, "sure, send him on over." So I get this guy on my phone, who wants me to speed up his order after we have already explained to him that the item he ordered isn't available to ship for 4-5 days and that I will send him an email if I am able to get it to him faster. What does he say to me?

"I AMMM A ROOOOBBOOTTT. IIII HAVVEE NOOO PULLLSEE."

    Me: "I'm sorry, sir?"

This fella continues to go on & on with nonsense and then tells me to get a better personality. I'm attempting to help a guy who is attempting to pick on me through the phone. Now I am pretty sure that if this guy had walked into my office and requested that I help him with something he wouldn't talk to me like this.

"I AMMM A ROOOOBBOOTTT. IIII HAVVEE NOOO PULLLSEE."

I ended up telling the guy that my personality has no relation to the service that he has been provided and he got off the phone but geesh, have some common courtesy! Is that so much to ask?

Seriously though, if I were a robot, I'm pretty sure he just made my brain malfunction.

 some people can be real jerks, like he deserves some special consideration, he's lucky you didn't tell him the shipment was on back order.

LOL, people are way different on the phone than they would be in real life. I'm a "telephone account manager" and spend all day on the phone calling and emailing people about their orders. Some people can be really nasty. Luckily my customers are in Kentucky so majority of them are very polite even when they are upset.

I did have one guy argue with me for 10 minutes about how he couldn't understand me because I was calling from another country. I'm from Iowa, we have absolutely no accent. I kept saying I'm from IOWA, I'm only a few States away from you, in the US.... And to top it off, he was originally from another country, I'm not sure what one, but I couldn't pronounce his name and it was somewhat difficult for ME to understand HIM!

I really hate when people get rude over the phone. I always try to remind myself when i am losing my temper on the phone that it usually isn't the person that I talking to fault.... Why yell at someone that can't change the situation anyways?

I'd have to delay his order a few more days.

I hate jobs like that, involving customer service. I'm not to terribly good at holding my tongue. I can do it with bosses for some reason. But I can't handle idiot customers.
