    My male normal likes to eat a few meals and then skip a few. His last feeding strike lasted 43 days and now he is eating prey that is much to small for him but it is all he will eat at this point. I just feel lucky that he is feeding at all right now.

    This is why I feed on their schedule and not mine.
    I rarely worry if they miss a meal because when they do eat they tend to eat more than one and make up for those times when they don't eat.

    I hate it too - because once the rat is thawed....its fed off tossed. I keep live too - at least those I can put back in the rat rack ;)
