    First URI
So I got home from work and pulled my normal female out and she is popping and wheezing. I opened her mouth and it was covered in mucus and bubbles. I took her right to the vet, got some some meds, and I hope she heals up. I just have to wait and see. This is the first time any of my snakes got ill! It sucks! Any advice? Husbandry is spot on, AP 7 shelve rack.

Bump your heat a few degrees. Make sure her stress level Is null and void. And keep The meds at The same time daily. Well those are all my little tips. Hopefully it helps.

Sometimes the hot spot varies. Are you sure her temps In her tub are correct? I'd check around her tub to make sure. Not doubting you at all btw. Also Is the rack by a window at all? I had an Ri a few years ago because of a drafty window. It happened to be in the middle of my rack the tub just happened to be perfect height for the darn draft.

Out of curiosity did the vet give you baytril and at what dose? I recently took one to the vet and was told I could nebulize baytril for a quicker response. I just didn't know if anyone else had heard of that. Also, kinda wondered if the Dose you were told was similar.

Did the vet culture the infection?

There are a lot of stubborn URIs making the rounds these days. Mainly because many vets are prescribing antibiotics without culturing the bacteria responsible.
