    why does my friend ball python cames up with slug egg? is it genetic? what was the really reason why the egg become slug?

    Slugs are just eggs that were not fertilized...so maybe the male was not ready to breed.

    I had a girl throw nine slugs last year. This year she gave me 9 pearly whites. It happens. just feed her up and get her going for next season.

    She was is a het ghost breed to a Honey Bee...

    It could be anything really... It could be that the male wasn't ready to breed, and often overweight females will tend to throw more slugs as well.

    Slugs and infertile eggs aren't the same thing slugs are follicular that never developed to the point of being viable. From what I am hearing and reading slugs are the girls fault, either she got to hot or to cold ect ect. Infertile eggs are from my limited experience the males fault if you get a perfectly formed filled egg simply missing the embryo the the female did everything except fertilize the egg. this could be due to dead genetic material from the male, not enough, or simply bad..
