There's really no point in doing that, and once you feed ASF they may not take "normal" mice again...that's like going from steak to hot dogs every other day...most people will choose the steak I think. Ball pythons are picky as it is...I wouldn't test it.

the reason would be to let the asf rats grow alittle more since they grow so slow and when i get rid of some of my males after breeding them they will eat mice for there new owner .

I don't know, they are so picky I really wouldn't risk switching prey items. Technically no harm can be done other than them possibly going off feed, but that's about it.

You can try, but like stated above, they can imprint on a certain prey item and not take anything else, or you could get lucky like myself, mine will eat whatever I toss in the tubs.

I believe most snakes that will eat ASF will also eat mice and vice versa. The problem would come in if you ever wanted to switch to the larger Norway rats.
I do exactly what your talking about with my picky eaters but the rat eaters never get mice or ASF due to the fact that they may never want rats again.
If your snakes are only being fed mice and ASF, and you have no plans to switch to rats, then I don't think alternating would hurt anything.
