    Dual zone thermostat?
Is there a thermostat that will control both the hot and cool side? I thought I saw one before that would control up to four but I can't seem to find it now.

Ulgh I didn't realize it was so pricey. I can get two Ranco thermostats for $40 less. Hmmm do I really need fancy features..... Hmmmm

The herpstat 2 is less than the 4. Rancos and herpstats are not really the same thing one feathers the temp so the heat source is what you set the ranco delivers full 100% power until the average temp is the same as the set point.

Wow, that's awesome! I just have two thermostats set up - one for the hot side and one for the cold side.

So the thermostats like Ranco and Johnson and the likes have a ~2 swing. Why is that such a bad thing? If these animals were in the wild the conditions would be much less predictable. Is it just the obsessive nature of hobbyists?

It isn't just the swing. The temp is either full on or full off. Proportional can apply just a little bit of power to keep the temp very stable. It spends more time where it is supposed to rather than up and down all over the place. Proportional is great. The Herpstat 2 is a great choice.
