Just bought a Venta LW 44 Plus Humidifier...! Full details to follow!

Anyone tried these before?

No sorry, I live in Fl, we don't have that prob down here. Let me how it works out for you.

I have a much smaller not venta (not as good a name) but the principal works great I have no humidity issues at all. The vaporizers generate a bit higher humidity with out tanking temps as much but the U/S warm mist is a viable solution the cool mist ones are also good but the passive fan with wicking material surrounding it suck.

Not that particular brand, sorry. I have a repti fogger and it works great. But honestly, in my opinion, the two tricks that work best, if you have a tank, where humidity is always escaping, is to cover up most of the tank with aluminum foil and tape, or plexiglass, and then to put some moss in. I use frog moss. It's activated by water, and it creates sort of its own biosphere when your top is covered for the most part. The humidity from a humidifier escapes rather quickly for me..but thats because I don't keep it on for 8 hours. The moss keeps it at a semi-permanent humidity level, mind you, as long as its wet.

This is just my experience with it. Different things work better in different climates. I'm in New Mexico, in the arid desert.

Ok gang, it finally arrived last night and all I can say is HOLY CRAP this thing is AWESOME...! Living in Vegas our humidity is normally around 10-20% which makes it very hard to keep our levels up. I plugged this puppy in after adding 3 gallons of water and four hours later all of my enclosures were over 50% humidity! It is fairly small (maybe the size of a big bread box) and ultra quiet. I know it was on the expensive side but I've tried the cheap humidifiers and they are garbage. I most def. recommend this route if you struggle like to keep humidity.
