Angry and confused at socal herp asscoation and rescue
So after a long time of searching for a herp club in my area I found one and signed up and waited for the acceptance email and I was stunned when it was denied and the reason was the best part is the reason was because they are only taking current members to build the organization.... I was stunned and dumbfounded I could not and still dont belive what I read in the email. I thought for sure I would be accepted since this hobby is such a close nit community ughhhhhhhhh so angry anny thoughts on this

Actually, I just met up with Jason from the SCHA yesterday and talked with him for nearly two hours. He's a kind person with a lot on his plate right now. I'm not sure exactly how you can become a member, seeing as I am moving out of state next month, but they do have meetings monthly. They hold a lot of charity events throughout the year and welcome anyone. It's my understanding that you are looking for a group that goes out in the field, which is not what they do as far as I understand. If you want to speak to them, they will be in the entrance lobby of the San Diego Super Show and I'm sure they will answer any question you may have.

Then I suggest attending one of their meetings. I believe they are open to the public, but if you would like to double check you can always e-mail Jason to ask. As I said before, he's a very kind person who has been in this "society" for over twenty years.
