parasites
i had my snake out to today and he went down and i caught but he licked the grass. is it possible for him to get internal parasites. is it healthy to have him in the grass i know there is something in the grass. that and i seen the bot flies on a ball python ,so yesterday i freaked when i see a fly in my tank i feel like everything is bad for ball pythons

I'm pretty sure the only thing you'd need to watch out for is ticks. I really doubt he 'licked' the grass, he was probably just flicking his tongue to smell, you know? Unless he was actively ingesting the dirt the grass is in, I seriously doubt parasites are likely, or even possible. (Although, yes, snakes can get internal parasites, but that's generally from infected prey items)
It's good to take precautions, but you don't have to keep him in a bubble. My advice? Calm down, and enjoy him. ^.^

I would be more worried about pesticides/fertilizer

Wow, I didn't even think of that. Just doesn't cross my mind...I live on a farm, and the closest we get to fertilizer is cow crap. :P

You have nothing to worry about. As has been said, watch out for pesticides. Ticks/mites are problems somewhere, but chances your ball python will get them are slim. Having bp's out in the grass is good for them. :)
