    Cleo...possible parasites...?
So, I'm waiting for money a friend owes me and then I'm going to buy a scale to measure weights for Cleo...
but he still visually appears to be losing weight. I am going to bring in a fecal sample for testing--was going to when he pooped this time, but he went on a Sunday when the vet is not open til Wednesday. >:/ it would have been no good. So I have to wait...
Anyway, here are some photos...I don't want a diagnosis from them as I know it's not possible, but he looks terrible to me. He's normal up in his upper third of his body, and the middle, but his lower third by his tail is horribly skinny.

He looks pretty normal to me. However those photo's aren't the best quality either.

    Re: Cleo...possible mites...?
I agree. From the pictures its hard to tell if anythings wrong. If your worried about mites put cleo on some newspaper bedding, or paper towels and you'll start seeing the little buggers moving around on the bedding. i hope everything is okay though

Is he eating and if so what size are you feeding him? Also, did his last poop look bad in any way? I'd say if he's not eating and loosing weight fast I would take in a stool sample and get him de-wormed. You'll know your snake better than anyone so if you feel he isn't well it wont hurt to take him in.

He's been eating small rats (40 g) every week, just one small rat per week.
His last poop looked normal but I wonder about microscopic little eggs...I would think the adult parasites would stay inside his body? or something. I wish I knew more. :(
That's my worry is that he's eating AND losing weight.

How long have you had him. The lower part of his body does look a bit skinny. Was he normal looking (weight wise, body shape) when you got him?

When we got him he looked fine; we've had him for about 7-9 months. Got him in September last year.
