    I was kept busy with hatching reptiles and reptile expos recently so not too much has been paired. I'll be spending a few hours in the spider room tonight so next weekend you'll see many more photos of spiders mating. For now these few are all I have:

    Poecilotheria regalis. We've had some bad luck with this species the last couple months. Since the only constant variable was the male he's been retired and a new male has been acquired. I'm hoping for a few hundred of these from the remaining females before 2011 is out.

    Poecilotheria rufilata. They are a bit different during courtship relative to other pokies. I filmed their courtship, but a reticulated python a few rooms down decided to evacuate her colon contents during filming. Mixed in with spider drumming is the sound of a 16 foot snake relieving itself. The funny (awkward?) part is the spider room and the large snake room doors were closed!
