Re: Worried after feeding?
describe this convulsion more please?
How long did it last?
How violent was it?
did the snake return to normal behavior?
the more details the better
Re: Worried after feeding?
well, this is above my pay grade.
Can snakes get indigestion? or like, gas?
Re: Worried after feeding?
Hi,
Could be anything from his hide touched him in a funny way or he saw you watching and jumped.
I would just keep an eye on him from a distance and make sure your temps are ok.
You don't really want to freak snakes out after they have eaten so let him digest his meal in peace. :)

I have heard that they get gas but as far as indigestion goes your guess is as good as mine.
Dr. Del:
His temps look really great.
Same with humidity.
I measure it with an Accurite thermostat
He is halfway out of his hide.
Granted my desk is really close to his tank so he may feel disturbed but he has never really been the jumpy snake.
I haven't messed with him, but I will say his branches and log hide has been removed for the past couple days. But he still has two hides. I had a extremely mild run in with mites again... well after months of being mite free.
I have been treating him and after having baked the log and branches I didn't want to put them in his tank immediately ( and possibly re introduce the mites to the wood pieces) until I can give it another good scrub down. So he may feel revealed. Poor guy :/

I can understand in that situation because bps are very sensitive to touch. However mine already ate haha

Hi,
If you get some Provent-a-mite you won't need to dismantle and scrub things.
And it will clear the mites too.
But this raises a question I hate asking - what have you been doing to get rid of the mites at the moment?

Well with the extreme cleanings which happen every few days.
I remove everything and use lysol bleach spray. Let it sit. Then wipe every little corner I can. I let it dry or about 10 mins. Then i spray it with water to make sure he doesnt get in contact with the harsh chemicals. Then I Spray the whole things down with Natural chemistry reptile spray. Wipe it down and let it air out for a good 15 mins at least.
His branches and log hide was baked, Both of his exoterra hides sit in soapy super hot water for at least 5 minutes. Same with his water dish. Rinse those off. I replace paper towel substrate. And spray it with Jurassi mite. I let that air out for a good while too b/c it is strong. I then replace his water bowl and hides. Finally I wipe him down with the natural chemistry reptile spray.
Just as a note. Everytime I clean his tank I do the lysol bleach spray. But I dont clean as in depth.
I'm pretty sure that covered it hahah
