    red axanthics are the best in my opinion, as they tend to mantain the axanthic appearence instead of becoming dull as they grow, like the recessive lines...

    You sure we're talking about the same mutation here? Every red axanthic I've seen that was larger than a hatchling had turned a reddish brown colour. They're still nice animals with some interesting potential, but definitely don't keep an "axanthic" look to them like some nicer individuals of the recessive lines do.     Het red axanthic is one visual het that I prefer over the homozygous form.
