Beginner Breeder Questions, Blue Eyed Lucy Male x Mojave Female
Hi Gang! Ok, so I've done all of my homework but two questions that I haven't seen answered are:

    1) How long do two breeding Ball Pythons stay "connected?" If a short amount of time, how do you know they "did it" without seeing them?

    2) Is there anything special other than putting the male into the female's enclosure that needs to be done?

Thanks in advance for the help! :snake: :snake: :snake:

Some will lock for only a few hours and some will stay locked up off and on for several days maybe separating for short periods between lock ups.
You will catch them locked up if you check on them periodically.

I walk my male around the house for a few and give him a good pep talk, kind of like the coach before putting in his best player, not sure it works but it can't hurt :D

*oh and I remove water bowls before adding the male :P *

It can be from up to 48 hours! First couple pairings for a new couple, I would not bother them! You will see it one of the times!

I get my males ready a little differently than SnakesRewl! I take mine to the strip club and get them all worked up then put them in with a female and they just go right at it like there was no tomorrow! :P

Seriously, no you don't have to do anything but pair them up! Some people(including myself) will cool them down but I think it's too late in the season for that!

Sorry for this I just want to ask how often u go to check them? Is there a better time? Like bps prefer to eat at night and in the dark, will breeding be the same?

My male really wants to breed with the famale. He is keep trying, like moving around and move up on her. She just lay there. Will he eventually get her?

Sorry op that I ask question in ur post. I though u may want to know too, as we both new to breeding.

    Thanks
