    any guess on how old?
this is my first bp. i guess you could call it a rescue. anyway the girl i got him/her from said she had it for two months. she stated that the pet store said it was two years old. it doesnt look to me like it would be two years old. any thoughts?

There is absolutely no way to tell from pictures unfortunately. They grow at such different rates it's impossible to tell. I have bps ranging from 105 grams to 400 grams from 2010. But I have seen older bps in the same range.

    I agree with Lgray.

And if that snake is over 2 years old, it is tiny!

It can depend on a lot of different factors like genetics, how much it was fed, how often it was fed, etc..

A snake can survive eating only every couple of months but its going to grow slower than a snake that is fed once a week appropriately sized meals.

Welcome to the site. I doubt that BP is 2 years old, but it's hard to say from the picture. If it wasn't fed well that's a possibility, although I have a 2.5 year old about that size that you can easily tell he is underweight. He's a really tough feeder. Usually an older snake that wasn't fed well looks pretty thin when compared to body length.
