I was wondering if anybody could help me with picking out an incubator i plain on breeding next year and try to get a head start on stuff i need. I've seen so many different types of incubators but don't know which would be best. I real appreciate the help:)

If you plan on starting off small (onlt a couple clutches), I'd suggest making a cooler incubator. There are plenty of how to's out on youtube and also in the DIY forum on this site. Mine cost less than $100 for the materials (everything but the thermostat). The thermostat will cost you around 120 or so for a good one (herpstat, Helix etc). Don't go cheap on the thermostat. Good luck!

I bought a Forma Scientific incubator off of eBay (not working, but only a 1 hour drive) for $100; the only thing wrong with it was the $40 control relay. If you're handy with electronics and control circuits, this might be an idea.
Before I found the F.S., I was planning on converting a freezer that was free on craigslist.
TOTALLY agree with the thermostat comment above, though!
