tips/tricks on feeding

i haver a baby ball he wont eat i really just want to see him eat his first meal i feel like a worried parent lol does anyone have any tricks or tips that they've personally tried or heard of ppl trying to get there snake to eat any advice is much appreciated

Make sure you wait at least 1 week between feeding attempts, trying every day will turn them off more because of stress. Make sure they are the right warmth if feeding f/t, if it's too hot/too cold they won't recognize it as food. It would help people to know if you are feeding f/t or live? Also if I get refused 2 weeks in a row, I'll try a smaller prey item, they usually are more tempted to take it.

its the second week and its f/t fuzzy and i let it sit in hot water for a half hour before i give it to em i always check to make sure its not still frozen and its not its fully defrosted hell look at it for a moment flicker his toungue and than just go on his way i also tried to give him a live pinky that he really didnt want on saturday, and the time before that was last tuesday, should i try feeding him next saturday or tryy again tomorrow? my temps are 92 and 85 he likes to stay in the cold side i got a second hide for him that he doesnt seem to like humidity is 44 percent

No you really should wait at least 1 week before attempting again, each time. Trying as often as you are is probably stressing him out more. 30 mins for a fuzzy may be too long in hot water. How do you thaw them out? I usually pull my rats/mice out of the freezer the night before and keep them in my fridge until feeding time, then put them in hot water. Hoppers are only in for about 5 mins before they are up to temp, adult mice about 10 mins, rat pups about 10 mins, weaned rats go for about 15-20. You may be over heating them. Make sure you wait another week before attempting.

My Monty was the same way so I decided to just drop the f/t in the tank and leave it alone. Sure enough when I woke up at 5:30 the next morning, I went to check on him and Monty had just finished the f/t and was happy. He has eaten very well since then and the last feeding he ate two.
I will stay at two per until they are gone and move to f/t fuzzy (unless anyone suggests otherwise).

yeah i just pulled it out of the freezer and put in in the hot water im gonna do it deff next time, the ppl at the petstore told me to put him in a paper bad and leave him in the paper bag for 20 min inside the tank so it can get to the correct temp and after 20 min drop the mouse in and leave it for an hour i may try that

I have some follow on questions. Will I have to do anything special to transition Monty from pinky to fuzzy? Should I have some pinky's on standby just in case he doesn't eat the fuzzy? Can I thaw any one of these f/t and refreeze them if he doesn't eat?

Is Monty a 2010 bp? Fuzzies and pinkies are very small, my smallest female is only 105 grams and she is eating adult mice. As far as refreezing, I will only refreeze once after thawing. After that I toss them, I don't thaw more than twice.

I honestly don't know but I'm assuming 2011 but could be 2010. I got him from a pet store about a month ago and they weren't sure how old he is (again I say "he" but don't know for sure). As you can see by my avatar pic he is pretty small but (knock on wood) eats very well so far. He is about 18 inches long but I don't have a scale to weight him yet but working on it.
