how often should you check or do you check your eggs in your incubator? i know atleast once a week for some air exchange but do you do it more often? i'm not asking do you open the box that the eggs are in but opening the incubator and shinning a light on them to check for dimpling and or mold etc?

As I'm using a toyogo box, I would just open every 7 days to allow air to come out as well as candle it to see the veins, it is awesome to see those redish veins every week.

I look at them through the incubator door whenever I pass by just to make sure they look ok and the temp is correct. After the eggs are placed in the tubs I don't open the tubs again until about day 50 or so to check for pipping (Unless it is a clutch I am really looking forward to and I want to candle them to see what I got).

I keep an eye on them for the first few days to make sure none are turning black. After the first few days I only check on them every few weeks untill about day 50. Then I start opening evry other day to look for babies and for fresh air.

The best thing is a wine cooler! It is just like a fridge but it has a clear glass door. I put an ad on my local classified and got one for $25! Just an idea for next season! :D
