First Feeding

Ok, so I'm going to try and feed Slytherin for the first time today and I'm really anxious. When I bought him they said he was eating small rats and he likes them moving.... Mom and I are going to buy the rat and ask a couple more questions. I should have an update soon!!

Thanks!!! :) I put the rat (live) in Slytherin's cage and he attacked it almost immediately!! It was amazing watching him swallow it! Now the only sad part is no handling him for 24 hours.... Oh well, at least he ate!!! :D

I usually wait 2 days to avoid regurge....how big was the rat? Mine eat weaned and those are pretty big meals. I wait 1 day for small meals and 2 days for larger meals lol.

It was a small rat, about the size of two or three mice, I think.

Hm...well the way I know is if I can see the rat going down and leaves mine looking chubby, I wait 2 days instead of 1 lol.

After feeding Slytherin I went to the garage to help my mom feed the cats some mice. Guess what I found out? I'm allergic to mice. I ended up in the ER!!! Not fun.

OMG! lol sorry but that is just so random! Maybe you should try switching to f/t....might be easier on your allergy?

I know!!! The doc said I should be fine as long as I'm not handling the rat. He said most of my reaction was a panic attack. And I'm going to try switching probably withing the next few months.
