    Update on first clutch!!!
I candled our first clutch again last night (day 35) and was amazed at what we saw!!! If the embryos were positioned just right...You could see their pattern! I'll post a few updated shots below! Enjoy!

How did you mix your vermiculite? They seem kind of deflated for only day 35.. Might not be enough humidity.

I mixed it fairly wet...If you squeezed it in your hand a little bit of water would drip out of it. Then I used press-n-seal to cover the tub. Maybe it needs more water added?

I was wondering if they should be dimpling yet. When do you typically start seeing this?

    Thanks for your comment.

Mine normally start dimpling between day 45-50.

Agreed, my first thought is this is entirely too much dimpling for Day 35. Might wanna add some water to be safe since you are using substrateless anyways.

Thanks for your input. I'll add some water tonight when I get home. They must have dried out a little since I put them in the incubator.

If the vermiculite drips when you squeeze it then it is too wet. But by those pics they looks too dry. Definitely check into it.

I checked my substrate tonight and it's still very wet. I know it's not normally supposed to drip (which it barely does), but since I used substrateless incubation...I figured I would favor the more wet side to avoid the eggs drying out. I know some people that just use water as a substrate, so being too wet shouldn't be the issue?

Is it possible that they are just dimpling naturally? The shell is also becoming more pliable...From what I've read, this seems normal as well?

This is my first clutch ever, so I am very open to any tips or suggestions.

    Thanks,

No such thing as TOO wet when using his method since eggs arent touching. The joys of using substrateless

I soak mine to the point of puddles in the vermiculite and never have to add water whole 60days.

So what's your take on my eggs at this point?
