    New camera, post-shed JCP...
I just got a new camera (Canon Elph) today, and my JCP shed a few days ago... so I tried it out on him, and he looks awfully bright & pretty! :) Hard to believe how big he's getting, too, since he was just a little worm a year ago. Anyway, Kipling wanted to say "hi" to you all:

And here are some outdoor shots, from last month with my old camera... which was broken, thanks to my 3 1/2 year-old niece.

Thank you all! I love how bright he's getting, but I still can't believe he'll eventually be this big: http://www.rainbowboas.com/jungle_ca...Love%20049.jpg :O
Luckily he's a total sweetheart, and never even went through the "nippy stage" (as many young JCPs do)... so at least I'll be able to handle him, LOL.

But isn't it cool how Carpets get brighter with every shed, as opposed to most snakes who dull/darken as they grow? I always get excited when he goes into shed, because I can't wait to see how much he brightens!

Yeah, Kipling was my first "bigger snake" purchase, and I look forward to seeing him at full size... and he'll probably be my biggest for a LONG time, since I can't handle a Burm/Retic/etc. anytime in the near future. Carpets are a good intro to larger snakes, though, since they get just big enough - so they feel like a substantial animal, without requiring the space & care of a Burm. They also (usually) have mellow temperaments, so you don't really have to worry about being chewed on by a 7-footer.
