    Pairing up advice?
I'm going to give my pair of hoggies a go this year, and now that my male is out of QT I've been thinking about pairing them up sometime soon.

I've never attempted to breed snakes before, but I've had success with other reptiles and fish.

I've read as much as I've been able to about it so far, but it's still a little worrying introducing a male to a female that is four times his size.

Does anyone have any advice about anything that I should do/keep an eye out for?

Does it matter much if I introduce the male to the female's tub or vice versa?

Should I add/remove hides? For most of my western hognose keeping, I prefer to just give them burrowing substrate over hides.

Thanks for any tips, I'm planning on starting to introduce as soon as the female finishes her current shed cycle.

Put the male in the females cage.

Put the male away from the female in the cage and just watch for a few minutes. Put them together for a few days then remove and feed, then repeat until you get eggs.

No problem. I prefer to brumate my animals as it gives me a better time-line for breeding, lots of people breed hogs without brumating.

If you brumate, just put them together right after taking them out of brumation.
