Sweet Blood! He looks like one of mine, he's got the same face. Nice picture of the tongue too!

Is it hard to keep snakes in Fairbanks? I grew up in Anchorage, but did not have snakes at the time.

Ham. In a tank, it's almost impossible unless you are very vigilant,
because of low humidity(we are a desert). And because, well its cold! Haha. I know people who keep their snakes in tanks and they dont do enough upkeep and the snakes have terrible sheds, two are missing the tips of their tails. They dont eat very regularly, and are just overall in poor condition.

I used to keep my snakes in tanks, and the ball did okay because I was always misting to keep the humidity up, checking temps constantly, and he had a humid hide.

My blood would be impossible to keep in a tank.

They are both in tubs now though and everything is really good. The only thing I have to do is give my balls tub some flex watt on the side of the tub to keep the ambients up. But his humidity is always perfect, its great.

The blood is getting moved out of his little tub into a 35x16x12 tub with a radiant heat panel next week so things should be better for him soon.
