Birthday geckos

Got abit of money for My recent birthday and so I got a few cresties since I had extra cages.

I gotta say I tried to follow the guide here but I couldn't cut the plastic! And the glue gun just left me with burns. So any pointers there would be great.

Congrats on a new addiction :D when i made my bin I didnt use the window screen was a pain in the butt to hold so I used hard plastic mesh (the sort they use for cross stitching and stuff cost me 55 cents a sheet in Michaels) I glued it on with the hot glue gun then wet my finger and ran over to smooth it down (doesnt burn so much then) I put mine on the top though not the side and its already been load tested by the cat without collapsing :D
and for cutting I marked out a square with duct tape and just used a regular craft knife scoring the same bit over and over until it cut through.... if theyre only tiny cresties though just use kritter keepers until theyre bigger my two babies are in kritter keepers and weigh like 6 grams each

Everyone's In Medium Critter keepers except my Girl and the guy coming tomorrow. I ended up melting a hole around with a sodering iron and it took forever. Do you think a craft knife would work better than a plastic scorer? Cause I bought one and it didn't cut at all.

My crestie is still in a large critter keeper, but she's growing fast so I'll have to move her to a tub soon. I'm also interested in any pointers from others who have actually made crestie tubs, since I was planning on following the sticky here too. I would think that whatever you use to cut the hole would work as long as it's sharp enough and you score the line enough times. Although I have read other reviews of certain brands of plastic scorers that said they just weren't sharp enough.

So cute!!! I'll be getting one in the next few weeks and then I will join the cute cresties club too, hahaha! :)

I also plan to follow Kaorte's tub making thread. I'm going to use clear silicone aquarium sealant instead of hot glue. In regards to the scorer not cutting, maybe try what blushing ball said and try to cut over the same line several times. Or, you could get an Exacto knife with the scalpelled blade and try that. That's what I plan to do if the scorer I get doesn't cut properly.
