Mother's Day Surprise!

SO, yesterday was the best mother's day EVER. My son told me I am going to be a grandmother!! I'm so excited and the next 6 months are going to go by so slow! I can't wait to be "Mimi"!!

That is a nice Mothers Day news. Congratulations. :)

It was really cute, they got me a balloon that said "Congrats"....so I thought, well, last minute, probably all they had. And Flowers, and a card. The card said happy mother's day grandmother.......so I'm thinking, they really were last minute, don't say anything, just be glad you got something.......LOL. Then I looked at my son and it was all over his face...........I just cried......I'm so happy:)


And yeah, I'm a little slow:)

My little girl calls my mom "Mimi" also :)

I'm not a mother (obviously), or a parent (except to our animals), but my lovely lady's mom is just as much of a mother figure to me as my own awesome mom is. She has a picture of Kara and her younger sister when they were little, of Kara reading Kelli a story while sitting in the backyard. For Mother's Day, I had the idea a few months ago to recreate that picture, only in the present. We grabbed a chair, found a good spot in the backyard, and Kara sat in the chair while her not-so-little 18 year old sister knelt next to her, and they read a story while I snapped a couple pictures. Printed it off on good quality photo paper and framed it for their mom. Suffice to say, she saw it and immediately burst into tears and hugged me. I think she liked it :).

THat's an awesome idea! Any mom would love to have something like that:) You're sweet to think of it!
