I love to smoke my cigars, but I do not do it in my reptile room. I have found that my snakes seem to notice if I am smoking in there especially during feeding times. My bp's seem to take longer to strike there food and seem to be watching me more. These are just my observations with my snakes though. :D

Smokings just as harmful to people as it is to snakes. I've contemplated bringing my bp with me, while i go smoke my pipe or a cigar in my garage, but I didn't feel i should subject him to that. He likely won't show his displeasure though.

I smoke, but out of respect for my kids and my animals, I do so outside. It is not good for people, and it is definitely not good for animals as well. What I choose to do to myself is my business, but I would not inflict that on others, human or otherwise.

Snakes have only one functioning lung so lung issues are particularly dangerous to them. Chemicals will reach the snakes and can cause harm. I have not read any studies looking at second hand smoke on pets, but smoke does hurt animals and may cause cancers etc etc etc.

Not here to be a truth commercial, but I use to smoke and now use oral tobacco.
Snakes have a very primitive respiratory system consisting of a single lung. Now imagine the damage it does to your lungs while you have 2 trying to compensate for the lack of oxygen and toxins entering the brain. Like I said I dip so no truth commercial but we choose this certain death. Our pets on the other hand have no choice.

I'm sure it's just as bad for them as it is for us.
