    Rack setup
Hey guys This year Im gonna breed my pastel to my spider and hopefully produce some healthy babies I can hold back from my first year. Well I wanna get a rack system to save space and reallly like the sterilite animal plastics adult ones. They have the free floated shelves and comes with flexwatt belly heat. Im going to use cypress mulch just because I hate newspaper it looks ugly although very convetional. Also a water bowl but do they need hides in a rack system? And Im going to need a thermomter any reccomended ones? Thanks

I'd say it's really up to you if you want to put hides in or not. The tub itself is kind of a hide on it's own. :] Makes your snakelets feel pretty secure, so I don't plan on using hides in my racks.

I don't use hides in my racks and my snakes do fine.

It really depends on the indivdual animal. A majority of my snakes are fine with out hides but some will not eat unless they have one. I will usually give all new snakes and ones moved into a larger tub hides to start and then once they are eating well I remove them..

My smaller snakes all have hides and eventually they just stop using them.
