    Is he thinking about girls?
:D My 750gram male pastel has never refused a meal since I got him a year ago. Extremely aggressive eater. Now he is refusing meals and just won't eat. His tub temps. have never changed and he doesn't seem to be sick. Do you all think he might be going through sexual maturity and is thinking and smelling my female BP's. Has anyone here ever gone through this? Thanks peeps!

It's possible. From what I understand (and I have never bred BPs) males will usually go off feed around breeding time. But I am fairly sure that fall is breeding time for BPs.

They can go off feed for various reasons, breeding season is one of them. Just monitor his weight and continue to offer food once a week and he will eat eventually.

Most of the males that I've raised have become pretty picky about eating right around that size whether I was breeding them or not.

Thanks for your responses:gj: I kinda had a feeling he was going through sexual maturity. Too bad my female BP's aren't ready for him:colbert::colbert::colbert:
