New breeding problem ( for me anyways) for a vet rat breeder
here it is. we moved in november in my new garage i built a new rat room. couldnt keep it heated properly and was costing me a fortune. so i cut my rack down and ecentually built fort knox for a "mobile room" i have a 7 space rack and the room is just big enough for the rack to sit in with about a foot of extra room around it. now its heated on a therm and hold temps perfect they all slowly stopped breeding to now i get no babies at all. my temps are perfect, same food (lab block) have used it for years, and just energy saver bulbs on a timed light cycle. i know that the rats are all different ages and a few i would say would be do to old age but not all of them. any suggestions on a fix or solution. I know the obvious solution is to cull all the rats and start over. but if its somthing stupid i'm over looking i dont want that to be my first rout.

    Thanks
    Eric

How many rats do you have per container and what ratio!
    How old are the rats?
What are the temps in the room?
When was the last time any of them had a litter?

Sounds like they may have started breeding again. Good luck!
