    some of my ratties
I'm just starting out breeding my own feeders, and here are a couple of my rats.

    High white Agouti male Boog

I've also got 3 I don't have pictures of, a russian silver male, and 2 blue females. Hope to get pics of them soon. Hooded girl that's pictured and one of the blue girls has gone in with the high white boy so I should have litters pretty quick. I'll be feeding off that boy and most of his offspring that are high white, I just wanted to diversify the genetics a little bit.

You shouldn't have to worry about that male being high white. He appears to be a variegated Berkshire (unless he has head markings, etc. that I'm not seeing in the picture). "Veriberks" are not high white.

Very cute crew you have there! :)

Well not all high whites have blazes, and not all blazes are high whites. Until he either proves high white or not, he's gonna be flagged as one :snake:

No, not all high whites have blazes. But he isn't showing any signs of being a high white. He is a Veriberk, veriberks are not high white. :)

The only thing that looks like a Veriberk that is dangerous is a banded. He isn't a Banded. You are safe with veriberks. If he throws any high whites, I wouldn't breed them back to him or to each other (on the safe side, don't breed any two high whites together), but I wouldn't worry about him specifically carrying megacolon.

The only blazes that aren't "high whites" are recessive. And even seasoned pet rat breeders won't breed two blazes together. It's asking for trouble.

This is the (what i believe to be) Russian blue girl, the grey ones are confusing so I'm not positive lol.
