hey guys, so i was wondering, what is ur favorite cat? I was also thinking of getting one myself, but not anytime soon. I like cats that do not shed much, does require a lot of grooming, and basically likes to play around.

Sphinx cats, you never have to worry about grooming, or shedding.

I have...cat-cats. I got one from a shelter and one off of craigslist. They don't have a breed type, just "cat" They're my babies. I'd recommend brushing once a week for short haired cats to cut down on the shed fur.

Turkish Angora by far! I'd always loved the way they look. Soft and lean, etc.. They have a single coat. One layer of medium length, silky fur. No undercoat like most cats. They shed much less than domestics. I saw a show about the breed and did more research. When I found out how sweet and dog-like they are, intelligent, talkative, persistent, playful, lovable, etc, I had to have one..

I got super lucky one day while searching CL. It started when I answered an add for pure bred TAs. The guy was kind of rude. Said he wouldn't hold one for me for a day. First come first serve. Said they bred their cats just to make a few extra $$ and to have kittens around once on awhile. He sent a photo a female with amber eyes and a distinctive black spot between her ears.

I didn't get her. Then a few months later I answer an add by a cat rescue. The lady lived in the same neighborhood near the airport that the angora breeder lived. She had rescued a young female white angora that had the dark spot and amber eyes. She was on the streets, sick, dehydrated, and emaciated.

She spent time at a vet on fluids and meds before I took her home. I know it was the same cat and while I didn't buy her from the breeder, I ended up adopting her and saving her life.

The dark spot has since grown out and she is now solid white. Her personality is such that when I get home at night, I look forward to her greeting me at the door and spending the rest of the evening hanging out with me.

They truly are everything that breed info sites say they are. Did I mention they feel like silk?? Lol

Scottish folds are adorable and have quite the reputation for being snuggly, playful lap cats.

Personally, I have a pair of mutt cats from the street. :P

I have a bombay. He's like a lazy miniature panther. Not very vocal and very loving:gj::gj::gj:
