    "Normal" looking morphs
OK so there are a few morphs out there that look fairly normal at first glance, but have some subtle differences and can trick out other morphs in combos.

I'm thinking Spector, Vanilla, Yellowbelly, I'm sure theres more just not coming to mind... along with a million unproven dinker traits.

Anyways I'm basically looking to compile a list of these known morphs (proven or unproven, anything with a name) to compare to a male "normal" of mine. He is a brighter gold colour than any normal I've ever seen, very clean, crisp and vivid in person. Definitely not as bright as a pastel or even a fire, its not yellow and its not a normal goldish-brown... this guy is gold. He also has some pattern in his eyes, the stripes on his face goes through his eyes as well...

I'll see if I can dig up some pics I took a while back... or else some batteries for my camera lol... but in the meantime, chime in if you know of any normal looking morphs and if you can, include pics and the traits to look for.

    Cheers

I probably couldn't pick out a fire from a pile of normals. When I see them I love them, but the difference is so subtle to me until you breed them. I can never get enough of fireflies.

http://www.worldofballpythons.com/ is a biggest on line "library" of morphs up to date... beside that You can always post pictures of your "normal" here to get confirmation.

If You suspecting that Your normal is a morph (usually it isn't ;) ) please post picture of whole body from top and side, head shot, and belly shot... that way we will be able determine faster that you odd looking "normal" could be something different or just "wild type" ball Python.

    Hope That helps

That didn't take long... these are a few months old and his colours don't "pop" quite as much as they do in person but gives you an idea...

Like I said normal looking, even for a dinker... but what do you think? Oh and lets make a list of normal looking morphs all the same, whether this guy looks like it or not. ;)

Yea from what i see is a nice reduced pattern "wild type" ball python... Only breeding can determinate if that reduction of pattern is genetic or not...

That a really pretty snake You have there :gj::gj::gj:

So the head pattern, eye pattern, colour,etc...probably not worth dinking with?

I only have 2 breeder size females (both normals) and a Lemon Blast male. This will be my first year breeding snakes. I am planning to pair both females to the Lemon Blast but this guy really catches my eye whenever I have a look at him. He's got a faint light stripe down his back from head to tail as well, within the gold pattern... under it even, I'd say... lol if that makes any sense, again you'd have to see it in person... almost looks like it will shed out but its at its brightest right after he sheds.

Edit: You can see the stripe a bit in the 2nd pic if you look closely... its not the flash making his back look lighter.

I have no idea morph-wise, but daaaang! That is one smoking hot snake. I'm a sucker for that gold back in 'normal' coloring. :]

In my opinion is still wort dinking around...with that golden coloration and reduced pattern.. for sure...

People like reduced pattern animals ..and when they prove them to be genetic... they use them to enhance morph like spiders, pinstripes, enchis...
And in case of Your male I'll definitely will go that way... All 3 morphs will benefit from that animal if he pass the appearance on them...
What You can do as well is a line breeding to try reduce pattern even more...

    Good Luck with him
