    terranium stats. feedback?
so my 40gallon terranium has an ambient air temp of 81-88 degrees (measured digitaly at center of tank in between hot and cold side), hot side temp under the heat lamp is 85-90, in the dead of summer gets up to 100, but always trying to keep it cooler, its hot here. cool side stays around 80, sumtimes drps to 70, sumtimes gets up to 83 depending on the temp of my room. like i said its very hot here, s its hard to control temps. these numbers sound ok to you guys? humidity is between 50-60% sometimes 70%

It's sounding alright, but you absolutely want to make sure that it never gets below 75 F! Also, just make sure the hot side doesn't get much hotter than 94, maybe 95. Overall though it isn't too too bad. Just touch ups needed.

Everything sounds ok to me other than the 100 degree temp. That is way too hot. 95 is really the hottest you want it to get. You may need to get a dimmer for the summer and keep the lamp from running at full power. 70 at night on the cold side isn't a huge deal, although I have had a friend who ended up with an RI issue during breeding season. 75 is definitely preferable for the lowest cool side temp, mine generally runs about 80.

think itd b alrigh to leave the night time lamp off at night (no lights at all at night) as long as the temps are fine? dont have a dimmer yet and my only nighttime light is like a 100 watt bulb for the larger tank and to keep it warm in the winter. i knw they are cheap and i plan on replacing the lower wattage one that died this weekend, but would leaving it off at night suffice in the meantime?

As long as you maintain the temps, both hot and cold, overnight it's really fine. You don't generally need the lights at all, since they're nocturnal snakes, and if you have a heat mat usually that does the job just fine.
