feeding BP's peanut fed rodents
We have been supplementing the diets of our mice and rats with peanuts the last few days. They are on dog food with assorted wild bird seed.
The peanuts we feed are raw, unsalted obviously. My main question is: Are the peanuts in the bodies of the rodents in any way going to affect our BP's?
Thanks for any answers or opinions.

Is is that the rodent won't benefit in any way from the peanuts or that they can get excessively fat if not fed peanuts in moderation?

I've read that the nuts have protein and moms eating their pinkies can be from not having adequate protein. I put some dog food or a little bit of cat food (just not too much on the cat food, then they can get protein over load) in the pregnant and nursing mom's food. Then sometimes I'll put a bit in the babies' food for the first week after they're separated from mom.
Sorry about the thread jacking ^_^;;

As much as I hate peanut butter. Peanuts are among one of the most protein high foods pound by pound.
