Success! Sort of

I just witnessed my first lock-up ever. It is not eggs, but it sure did make my day. I got my first ball python in late January. I didn't know a mojave from a spinner blast. Now, I'm expecting my first clutch this season. Maybe two if my other girl goes. Seeing these two locked up validated everything I've been doing. I can only imagine what it feels like to hatch out your first reptile!

I shall when they lock up again. The male must be shy, because I had to cover the way I got him to get-'er-done was by covering the tub with a sheet and leavin them alone for a day.

Oh that's so exciting!! LOL Actually I witnessed my first one today, too! When I last bred my girl she was not at my house, so I didn't witness any of the lock's, I just witnessed the egg birthing (which was cool).

In my first clutch I only had one good egg out of 5, and the lil girl went full term and she's healthy and happy today (albeit very small) and you will never forget your first one!! :)
