    water question
    how often should i change the water bowl in my BP tank.... is there a specific amount of time i should leave water in the tank without changing it.... i mean he only drinks once in a great while... from what i can tell that is....

    I make a habit of topic off the bowl every few days. I change out and wipe out with chlorohexadrine dilute once a week. I will do this sooner if I notice anything in the water, like substrate, poop, or anything else foreign.

    ya i figured it was something along those lines. i always make sure its full... for humidity purposes and i guess it just bothers me to see it half full. haha. but anyways thanks. when i clean the bowl i run it under the hottest water that comes out of the sink and let it soak... should i be using any type of soap to kill any bacteria that may be in there

    I personally use chlorohexadrine to wipe my tubs and my water bowls. You can pickup a bottle that uses a teaspoon per gallon for $9. I bought a $.89 squirt bottle from Walmart and make my own spray. That will last FOREVER if you have a single ball python or even a small rack full. Hot water alone won't kill bacteria. Just for example, you might be able to buy it local, here's what the cleaner I'm talking about looks like:
