I was just wondering how many you order to justify the shipping costs?

    Expos
I dont usually order in. I just go to my local expo every few months and get enough to last. Get the vendors contact info when you go. There may be one who's local and you can meet up with and restock whenever you run out, without even having to go to expos....

search this site and FC and you may find a listing for someone local. CL also.

Re: when is it worth it to order in FT
i had 80 med rats shipped in... because there is only 1 pet store around my town and it charges $6 for a med rat and $2 for a large mice... so to feed all 8 of my snakes it was costing about $25 a week... to order the rats it was about $120 i believe which if i bought 80 rats from the pet store ide pay $480 :(... then i started to breed ASF's on the side to take place for the mice and that just costs a little time and $10 for a 50lb bag of hog food :D

I ordered two bags online, one at my snakes current size, one at a size larger(bags of 50).

She out grew the smaller ones before I went through them all and I think the larger ones have started to go bad(she refuses them all and I've had a few burst).

I've held off on ordering online since then, but might do it again eventually. For 1 snake it doesn't quite seem worth it though until she settles in on a size.

The order was placed around last august/september to give you an "expiration" idea.
